| Hari Nam Singh Khalsa is both director and principal instructor at Yoga Heaven. He has been studying and practicing Kundalini Yoga since 1977. Hari Nam is certified to both teach and train others to teach by the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. Over the past decade, Hari Nam has traveled and taught extensively in the United States and throughout the world, including in Europe, South America and China. He has been interviewed many times on television and radio and in the press.
Born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area, Hari Nam has had a
varied and successful educational and professional background. He has
earned his degrees at the University of Maryland (B.A., Political
Science), St. John's University (J.D., Law), University of San Diego (LL.M.,
Taxation), College for Through the years, Hari Nam has been an attorney, financial investment advisor, photographer, crisis hotline counselor and even a New York City cabdriver. Currently, Hari Nam is director of The Center for Existential and Spiritual Counseling, which promotes a "meaning-based" approach to individual and couples counseling. Hari Nam has countless passions in life, to name a few: The New York Yankees, The New York Football Giants, traveling, jazz, opera, art, photography, backpacking and good Italian food. Other than his longing for the divine, Hari Nam's greatest passion in life is for his remarkable wife, Kulwant Kaur Khalsa, who hails from beautiful Mazatlan, Mexico. They met and built their relationship without the benefit of speaking each other's native tongue, proving the ultimate power of faith and true love. Gracias a Dios, Hari Nam is now bilingual in Spanish! Hari Nam Singh is an ordained minister in the Sikh faith. He is also a member of Khalsa Council, which is the governing body for Sikh Dharma in the Western Hemisphere.
